Q: Did the walkout seem successful?
A: Yes, because people driving by were honking and acknowledging our cause, and nearby pedestrians stopped to take pictures of our efforts.
The purpose of the walkout is to show that students at Cerritos are aware of circumstances and as high school students we can support other high school students who are trying to making a difference.
Q: Anything specific you noticed during the walkout?
A: A lot of people were not aware of the cause, making the walkout slightly less effective. They seemed like they were doing it mainly because they just wanted to leave class. I think they should make themselves aware of the actual issue. The school made it obvious what it was about, but they didn’t seem to care as much as they should have.
Q: What do we do/what should be done now?
A: We shouldn’t forget what happened, we need to work towards helping the future generations and ensuring that this doesn’t happen again. We have to fight for the future.

Q: Did the walkout seem successful?
A: The walkout was successful because students really got out there and expressed their opinion.
Q: Anything specific you noticed during the walkout?
A: Somewhat. Like half the people were actually doing it.
Q: What do we do/what should be done now?
A: We should continue to keep protesting and fight for what we believe is right because as a student I believe school should be a safe environment and everyone should not be worrying about an issue occurring.

Q: Did the walkout seem successful?
A: Personally, I felt like it was half and half. Simply because half of the crowd were actually passionate about it (yelling, with signs up) while the other half just stood there in silence.

Q: Did the walkout seem successful?
A: I think it was successful because a lot of people came and some members of the community came to show their support.
Q: Anything specific you noticed during the walkout?
A: Not really. Nothing surprised me much. I expected people to come but I didn’t expect that big a turn out.
Q: What do we do?/What should be done?
A: We should come together and stand united. But most importantly we need to actually vote when the time comes. I don’t expect much of the government but I hope that they hear what we want.
